WALKABOUTSVERSE 228 OF 230

Poem 228 of 230:  REPATRIATING - AUSTRALIA TO ENGLAND

I toast sliced-bread before frying -
    Nigh full-English;
I like to sunbathe in winter -
    Behind closed glass;
I fasten both jacket-buttons -
    For tidiness;
I prefer my feet bare in bed -
    Always sockless;
I may need extra quilts at night -
    Warm or sleepless;
And re my schooled-abroad accent -
    It could be less;
But most of my other ways spell -
    Anglicises.
